Epoxy/Aggregate Installation Over a NEW Concrete Surface

The following steps apply to an epoxy/aggregate installation over a NEW concrete surface which does not need cleaning or crack repair. Application over an old concrete surface would require thorough cleaning and crack repair prior to the application.

  1. Apply the Perma•Crete Matrix skim coat.

  2. Seal the Matrix with Perma•Prime E-Coat and allow to dry until tack free.

  3. Apply a clear coat of Perma•Poxy Enamel (2-3 mil. thickness) over the surface.

  4. While the Perma•Poxy is still wet, seed with medium coarse or coarse Perma•Color Surface Aggregates until the Perma•Poxy surface is saturated with the aggregate to the Dealer’s satisfaction.

  5. Allow the aggregates and epoxy mixture to cure. Use a shop-vac to vacuum all loose aggregates from the surface when dry.

  6. Repeat steps 2 through 4.

  7. Apply a final, clear coat of Perma•Poxy (2-3 mil.thickness) as a top coat over the entire surface. NOTE: If the surface will be exposed to UV light or harsh chemicals, apply Perma•Thane CRU-750 clear as the final coat instead of Perma•Poxy.

  8. Allow the surface to cure for 72 hours after the final application.
