Outstanding Corporate Logo
Dave Douglas of Modello Concrete Coverings in Dover, Ohio, deserves a thunderous "WOW" for the impressive corporate logo he installed in the entranceway floor of a business in his area. Dave started with a 25 year old concrete floor that had to be ground and polished. Under the logo itself he applied a coat of plain PermaCrete bonding additive. The logo is actually 5 different steps, with 3 layers of decals with the appropriate sections weeded out to leave the specific stain sealer color and design/fade he wanted. He then repeated the process for each of the different layers until the logo was finished. After the layers were finished, he used one last set of decals with the "orbiter loops" taken out and applied a coat of regular PermaCrete Matrix Mix with charcoal colorant in it. When it was almost dry, he pulled the decal to reveal the loops. He then acid etched the floor with the decal in place to give a good surface on which the Matrix could bond. Dave's hard work really paid off. The customer "loves" the logo! We knew our readers would be as awestruck as we were, when we saw this outstanding example of what skill and PermaCrete can accomplish together.
